A Sagittarius moon
Nothing but you

Summer air on the lakeshore
Like nothing else even mattered

The still breeze
Like my heart
Still frozen in time 

It’s all shades of blue
When I come across you
Stuck in my mind

That smile
& that look in your eyes 

Dusk on the water
Like nothing could handle a shine so bright 

The sunset 
Like art
Carved line by line

The start of the end
Star-crossed wires tangled too tight
Like I couldn’t win 
Like nothing would ever go right 

Like I was a fool
Chasing the clouds
Like if I didn’t run 
They’d come crashing down 

Candy-coated memories 
Of sugar-spun fever dreams
Glitter-soaked gasoline 
Slowly burning in between
Technicolor everything
